archivemount doesn't work

#1 Post by andoru »

So I've tried installing archivemount (apt-get install) so I could mount some tar files (non-compressed) so I could see them as a file system/drive.
So I issued "archivemount /path/to/tar /path/to/mount" in the terminal and the volume was auto mounted, and everything went well so far. The only problem however is that the mounted volume doesn't appear to have anything (so basically I get a blank window in the file manager)
Is there something extra that I need to do in order to get it to work? I've read the app's description and it should read tarballs just fine.
