/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup not anymore for virtualbox.

Postby shirish » 2015-09-10 10:07

Hi all,
I was installing virtualbox for stretch. The first thing that stuck me was that the recommends no longer get in. Secondly, the job fails because there is no systemd.service file (which is needed in the systemd world).

Thirdly, /etc/init.d/vboxdrv does not exist anymore. Can anybody see a way forward ?

I did see posting.php?mode=quote&f=30&p=589482 which has the same observations as me. Seems documentation is not there or kept up-to-date for the same.
