Re: Why my laptop freeze...
I did a search and I suspect it might be due to Frakendebian.

If it is Wheezy , use bootlogd ,
https://wiki.debian.org/bootlogd
If it is Jessie: use
Code: Select all
systemctl
The OP did not even bother to post any output, of anything, we would need to seePost by pylkko » 2015-10-14 13:05

Re: Why my laptop freeze...
This could be so many things.
In my case it was a bug in the bios and it was solved by updating it.
But it could be hardware failure.

Re: Why my laptop freeze...
First things first. Do a proper backup of anything important.
Then, is this something new? Has the ssd behaved properly on Debian before, without freezes? Or haven't you tried it with Debian before? Because ssd freezes are quite common, many freezes if left in idle state. But we need to know more.

Output of dmesg and lsmod always helps. I know the sources.list is infamous on this forum but how would seeing that help with a problem on the SSD?GarryRicketson wrote:The OP did not even bother to post any output, of anything, we would need to see

Also are you sure the SSD is actually functioning? They are not 'immune' to failure just slightly less likely to fail than a HDD.
