codeblocks keep crashing

Hello guys,

I was wondering if you could help me. I'm running debian jessie x64. I tried any possible version of codeblocks 13.12, 16.01 the unofficial one at http://apt.jenslody.de/ etc..
Codeblocks keep crashing. Not specifically when I try to do something in particular, just editing, searching, typing. Anything I do seems fine for it to crash.. Have you also experienced this problem?

at the moment I have the unofficial version installed and seems to work slightly better than the others. I hope you can help.

Is that 13.12 version the one from jessie-backports? We should also see your repository list (install inxi, run "inxi -r") in order to check if you haven't broken your system by adding incompatible packages.

Hello stevepusser, at the moment as I was saying I have got the one taken from jenslody repos. Yes the 13.12 was taken from backports. I tried with codeblocks_16.01_amd64 (taken from codeblocks website) and had the same problem.

Do you remember why you added the Mint repository?

yes just for firefox because with the default browser I had problems playing the video in html5.

Does anybody have an idea about what the problem could be?
