Gmail is not working in Evolution Mail this morning.
Error:
pop.gmail.com
Input/Output Error
Anybody else having the issue?

Nope, but then I use IMAP, not POP.
By the way, the term "Input/Output error" always rings a certain kind of bell to me. To me, it reads - "can not read from or write to disk".
Make sure the partition your mails are residing on is not full. Make sure the local directory/files are okay and not corrupt. Run fsck (from a live session) if doubtful.

I am using Debian Wheezy.
I updated and upgraded all packages and it is working now.
I am not sure which package it was that fixed the issue.

I believe that I am having the same problem with Claws Mail.

I updated packages in Debian 7 (Wheezy).
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
Not sure which evolution package fixed the issue thou.
