screenfetch not displaying themes

#1 Post by linxuser808 »

I am using Debian Jessie 8.6 with Gnome Version 3.14.1

I am new to themes and just realized i cannot install the gtk2 themes or metacity window themes from gnome-look on 3.14

Can somebody explain why when i type screenfetch in terminal it says i have no gtk+ theme or icon theme when i do?

I have everything in /.themes except my icon theme is in /.icons

Code: Select all

     :t::::::::tt33.:Z3z..  `` ,..g.     GTK Theme: Not Found [GTK2], Not Found [GTK3]
  i::::::::zt33F AEEEtttt::::ztF Icon Theme: Not Found
 ;:::::::::t33V ;EEEttttt::::t3       Font: Not Found

this seems to be the actual problem, and not screenfetch.
please elaborate on that:
- HOW can't you install themes?

do you have a file /home/<yourusername>/.gtkrc-2.0 ?
can you post its contents?
