high temperature of cpu when fc-cache

If none of the more specific forums is the right place to ask

high temperature of cpu when fc-cache

Postby zhiyizhi » 2017-06-28 02:36

When I installed fonts by using following command lines
Code: Select all
# mkfontscale; mkfontdir; fc-cache -f -v

the temperature of cpu is very high, and the fans are working every hardly. And the temperature is above 90 °C. This is terrible! How can I control the temperature, when runs the command line fc-cache -f -v?

This appears to be more of a question of your CPU temperature going way up when it's asked to work at 100%. Have you tried any of the fixes any web search will turn up, such as doing a cleaning of the air flow path or replacing the thermal paste?
