I just buy a new car whenever the old one needs an oil change.
How do you manage to get past the "empty gas tank" problem? :-?

Too bad these forums don't have any way to rate or downvote a post...
A good mocking usually serves the purpose. I'm hoping that post was actually being sarcastic.

I would guess that the CUDA samples are tests to see if CUDA is working.

Does this brightness-control thingamajig work for you?

http://mxrepo.com/mx/testrepo/pool/test ... ontroller/

It just has a few simple python and x11 dependencies, so should install fine in Stretch from the deb:

Code: Select all

apt install <name-of-deb-file>
MX Linux packager and developer

No. The only way to reduce the brightness is to wear sunglasses (no joke -- I'm wearing sunglasses now).

But do I need the samples? According to the wiki, I'm supposed to download the samples and test that they're present by adjusting the brightness.

Or should I just give up and call it finished?
