How can I install xfonts-50dpi?

#1 Post by satimis »

Hi all,

Debian 9.1.0 desktop

I need to install both xfonts-50dpi and xfonts-100dpi. xfonts-100dpi is on repo but xfonts-50dpi is NOT. Please advise where can I find xfonts-50dpi.

Thanks in advance

Regards

What makes you think that such a thing is possible? Please be specific.

Hi,

I'm now testing

viewtouch
Building
https://github.com/ViewTouch/viewtouch/wiki/Building

on Debian.

It needs installing xfonts-50dpi and xfonts-100dpi and the latter is on repo. But I can find xfonts-50dpi

My eyes must be going bad. I can't find any mention of the xfonts-50dpi package on that page, or in the link to where they maintain some fonts. Can you point out what I'm missing?

Though the page was edited just a few hours ago, and now mentions xfonts-75dpi...maybe that's what you need?

Code: Select all

.......
(see expanded list at bottom)

apt install xorg-dev libmotif-dev libfreetype6-dev cmake git xfonts-base xfonts-50dpi xfonts-100dpi
......
I found that they just changed xfonts-50dpi to xfonts-75dpi

satimis@viewtouchdeb:~$ apt-cache policy xfonts-75dpi

Code: Select all

xfonts-75dpi:
  Installed: 1:1.0.4+nmu1
  Candidate: 1:1.0.4+nmu1
  Version table:
 *** 1:1.0.4+nmu1 500
        500 http://deb.debian.org/debian stretch/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
satimis@viewtouchdeb:~$ apt-cache policy xfonts-100dpi

Code: Select all

xfonts-100dpi:
  Installed: 1:1.0.4+nmu1
  Candidate: 1:1.0.4+nmu1
  Version table:
 *** 1:1.0.4+nmu1 500
        500 http://deb.debian.org/debian stretch/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Both of them have been installed. Thanks
