Sound totally gone - Debian 9.1

Postby pawRoot » 2017-08-09 19:26

Hi

I installed Debian 9.1 with Gnome3 on my brother old laptop - ASUS K50IJ.
Sound was working fine yesterday, but today he run the laptop and sound is gone, it's not muted or anything in options.

If i type in terminal:

cat /proc/asound/cards

I get:

0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
HDA-Intel at 0xfe9f4000 irq 28

Any ideas?

Fixed by selecting default card in alsamixer and then following this tip:
"You can select card with alsamixer (F6 or S) and than do sudo alsactl store to save your settings as default. "
