Load onedrive-d on startup

Postby kenwong » 2017-11-16 14:50

I have installed and configured onedrive-d on Stretch. However, it does not start automatically every time the machine boots. I have to run the command:
Code: Select all
onedrive-d start

How can I make it load automatically?

Thanks in advance.

we need much more information.
what did you install, what do you want to achieve, how did you install it, where are the links to the project and also the documentation you used for installation?
do you have to start the service as root?
is there no systemd service included in the package?
etc. etc.
please be diligent in answering these.

Lazy: Launch it from /etc/rc.local, possibly prepended with su <username> if it needs to run as some user other than root. Assuming it shuts down cleanly on receiving a sigterm and you don't need any monitoring.
Proper: Write a systemd unit.
