Hi everyone,
Is there an easy way to switch from the ESR version of firefox to the basic version ?
By "easy" I mean another way than uninstall the ESR and re-install the basic. What I have seen until now is always about uninstall re install and backports modifcations etc... which is pretty annoying (because i'm very lazy haha ).
Thanks.
P.S : I figured that the sing up and login pages of this forum are not safe link (https) is that normal ? I wonder if it is safe...

Download and open the tarball. It can be run in user space. Nothing could be easier.Welgriv wrote:Is there an easy way to switch from the ESR version of firefox to the basic version ?

Although I personally don't care for the new Firefox. Sticking with ESR.
I am not irrational, I'm just quantum probabilistic.

As an alternative, you can add this to your sources file:
# Ubuntuzilla
deb http://downloads.sourceforge.net/projec ... ozilla/apt all main
GPG:
apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 2667CA5C
Home:
https://sourceforge.net/p/ubuntuzilla/wiki/Main_Page/
"This is the home of the Ubuntuzilla project, hosts an APT repository with .deb repacks of the latest official release versions of Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla SeaMonkey, and Mozilla Thunderbird. This repository should work on any APT-based distribution, including Ubuntu descendants, and Debian descendants. The project was born on Ubuntu forums, but despite the name is not really specific to Ubuntu."
