[GAVE UP]How to get JavaFx to work in Netbeans (on stretch)?

#1 Post by bdz »

JavaFx support appears to be missing from my Netbeans installation.

I've installed java (java-common, openjdk, etc.), openjfx, and Netbeans on a stretch 9.3 system, using standard deb packages.

Netbeans works, but there's no 'JavaFx Application' option in Netbeans 'File -> New Projects'. According to Netbeans documentation netbeans documentation it should be there.

FYI the current Netbeans deb package contains Netbeans 8.1, which should contain JavaFX support.

Any ideas about how to get this to work?

thanks

I gave up, removed the netbeans deb package and installed netbeans directly. Not the solution I'd prefer, but it's not clear how else to get JavaFX support in netbeans.
