[SOLVED] Remove linux-image-4.9.0-3-amd64?

#1 Post by Lysander »

Code: Select all

sudo apt autoremove

suggests the removal of linux-image-4.9.0-3-amd64.

Now this is 190mb. Will it be OK to get rid of it?

I'm currently running

Code: Select all

lysander@psychopig-xxxiii:~$ uname -a
Linux psychopig-xxxiii 4.9.0-5-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.65-3+deb9u2 (2018-01-04) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Yes it is safe to remove.
It is also a good idea to keep the old kernel around until you are sure 4.9.0-5-amd64 is working properly for you.
