I'm already using the printed Cyrillic font in Anki, but I want to display text in the cursive Cyrillic font: https://www.lingualift.com/blog/russian ... ice-sheet/
I'm not sure what to install/configure. I've installed xfonts-cyrillic, but I don't see any additional Cyrillic fonts in Anki's list of font options.

How to install/use Cyrillic fonts?
Re: How to install/use Cyrillic fonts?
i don't understand. those are images of handwritten letters, not fonts.bentHnau wrote:I'm already using the printed Cyrillic font in Anki, but I want to display text in the cursive Cyrillic font: https://www.lingualift.com/blog/russian ... ice-sheet/
but obviously, if you find a font that supports this particular type of lettering, that's what you should install.
what's anki? does it use the old xfonts format, or rather the new & current format (freetype iirc)?I've installed xfonts-cyrillic, but I don't see any additional Cyrillic fonts in Anki's list of font options.
Re: How to install/use Cyrillic fonts?
The link just shows what the letters look like so people know what I'm looking for. The problem is that I don't know what to install to get that font.debiman wrote:i don't understand. those are images of handwritten letters, not fonts.bentHnau wrote:I'm already using the printed Cyrillic font in Anki, but I want to display text in the cursive Cyrillic font: https://www.lingualift.com/blog/russian ... ice-sheet/

Anki is just software for learning things; the important point is that it allows you to display information in whatever fonts are available on the machine: if the font isn't available on the machine, it won't be available in Anki's options. That's how I know that the font I want isn't available.what's anki? does it use the old xfonts format, or rather the new & current format (freetype iirc)?
I'm not sure whether font formats are relevant or how I'd find out what font format Anki uses.

Such fonts are needed in searching and installing, there are not in the repositories. For example, ttf are in
http://allfont.ru/handwritten/
if you already read in Russian. I don't know what is anki.

https://duckduckgo.com/html?q=cursive%20cyrillic%20font
looks slim, and i don't remember having ever seen cursive (as in handwritten) cyrillic on the www.
launchThat's how I know that the font I want isn't available.
Code: Select all
