firewall suggestions

We are at a point where I would like to set up a Linux firewall.
We will use Debian9 .

Please throw me a bone on recommendations. lmgtfy

It depends what you want. I use this one:

Sounds more than firewall, try "content filter" or "content monitor" there are some dns servers that provide this (for a fee?) I believe.

The simple way is to access the admin features on your router/modem and choose the highest security setting on the built in firewall. It's generally a one button click.

My preferred do it yourself firewall is a simple IPtables setup. There are lots of instructions available. Here are a couple I have used.

Doing it yourself is a good way to learn what a firewall is expected to do even if you ultimately wind up with a more sophisticated one.
