Hello,

I installed nut on debian 9, all works well but against when I run commands from a non-root user I have an error message
example when I log in with my foo user and execute the command upsc -l I have this "Error: Connection failure: Connection timed out"

could you help me please?

j'ai installé nut sur debian 9, tous fonctionne bien mais par contre lorsque je lance des commandes depuis un utilisateur non root j'ai un un message d'erreur
exemple lorsque je me connecte avec mon utilisateur toto et que j'execute la commande upsc -l j'ai ceci "Error: Connection failure: Connection timed out"

pourriez-vous m'aidé s'il vous plait ?

i don't even have that command, but a quick apt search tells me it has to do with printing.
maybe something like "list all network printers".
maybe it is desired to let only root see those things?
my wild guess would be that CUPS documentation will be helpful in resolving this.

Thank you for your answer but i use "nut" for monitoring inverter not for printer.

i have made many research on google but anything helpfull.

also when i do systemctl status nut-server.service i have this "upsd[2785]: not listening on 127.0.0.1 port 3493" but it can listen on ::1 3493. i don't know if this can prevent me from executing ups commands from a no root user.

I Have resoled the not listing on 127.0.0.1 error but still can get ups status by executing command from no root user

from toto user i have : $ upsc -l
Error: Connection failure: Connection timed out

but with root i have : $ upsc -l
Init SSL without certificate database
UPS
i can't understand why.
