Recently, for work I had to work on MS-Windows . While it bought whole lot of trouble which I was familiar and unfamiliar with of MS-Windows, one thing they did get sorta right is the Windows spotlight feature.

While it goes the other way, do people know of any way to get beautiful cc-0 nature images or whatever (everything, anything except sexualized images) to come to desktop every day without having to search on the web for nice images.
If somebody knows of some way please share here.

Are you talking about just the lock screen? I think, depending on what DM you are using, you might be able to use an xscreensaver module for the lock screen that displays some random picture from the variety folder. Variety is a wallpaper changer for the desktop that gets them from various sources on the Net. https://packages.debian.org/stretch/variety
