I downloaded, verified SHA256 then burned the iso of LIVE Debian 9.4 non-free installer to a DVD. Upon installation, the screen shows successful network hardware check and DHCP check. However, I then got the message about repo mirrors being failed.
I continued on and completed the installation. Upon the initial reboot, there's no wireless connection at all.
My wireless adapter is TP-Link (forgot model number) using RT-2700usb driver, according to lsusb command.
Did I downloaded the wrong installer file?
Look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks for your help.

Re: No wireless connection with Live+Nonfree Stretch
I re-installed Debian Stretch 9.4 using DVD1 ("nonfree firmware included"). During installation,WPA2 and DHCP connections were tested "successfully". I chose KDE interface.
However, after initial reboot, the screen shows "WiFi network could not be found" even though during installation and after reboot I chose the correct SSID and password. In fact, the SSID I chose is one of the available connections from Network Manager sub-screen.
I thought the non-free firmware for my Ralink-based wireless adapter would be included in the DVD.
This reply was posted using openSUSE Leap on the same PC, where there's no problem with wireless connection.
Any suggestions? Thanks a lot for your help.

I am at a loss.
This adapter is in the list of wireless adapters supported by Stretch.
firmware-misc-nonfree is the latest package and is already installed.
Please help!

Re: No wireless connection with Live+Nonfree Stretch
networkmanager since jessie has issues with rt2870 devices among others. Try turning off MAC randomization

Hello bw123,
I turned off random MAC address feature in NetworkManager configuration file (i.e. Networkmanager.conf) as suggested in the second link you provided.
WiFi works now. Thanks a lot for your help.
