Hi,
I'm trying to install Mono on my Debian Linux according to this guide:
https://www.mono-project.com/download/s ... lin-debian
First there's a guide for adding a mono-repository to system.
But when I try to execute first line:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 3FA7E0328081BFF6A14DA29AA6A19B38D3D831EF
it gives me this:
Executing: /tmp/apt-key-gpghome.wFSfsOnNzG/gpg.1.sh --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 3FA7E0328081BFF6A14DA29AA6A19B38D3D831EF
gpg: failed to start the dirmngr '/usr/bin/dirmngr': File or folder does not exist
gpg: connecting dirmngr at '/tmp/apt-key-gpghome.wFSfsOnNzG/S.dirmngr' failed: File or folder does not exist
gpg: keyserver receive failed: No dirmngr
How should I proceed with mono?

Re: Can't get mono installation working on Debian 9
Is the Mono stuff Debian provides too old or why do you use an external repository?

Re: Can't get mono installation working on Debian 9
I don't know what's new and what's old. I just followed the installation guide on mono's own website.
https://www.mono-project.com/download/s ... lin-debian
The guide's for Debian 9 so it should be quite new. But it doesn't work as it should.

Re: Can't get mono installation working on Debian 9
There are many mono-libs and mono-utilities in debian repo. I needed mono a few years ago, and I think I did not need any external packages.
