During reboot, Debian Testing freezes at GRUB

#1 Post by Mountainerd »

Hi there -

I've tried a few of the various parameters (acpi=force, reboot=efi, etc) in /etc/default/grub but to no avail.

If I shutdown my laptop, then startup, when the boot process gets to GRUB, I see the five-second countdown and it proceeds. However, if I select restart, it reboots, but when arriving at the GRUB menu, the countdown disappears immediately and accepts no keyboard input. I have to power off and then back on.

Any ideas would be appreciated; I will provide any relevant information as requested.

Thank you!
MN
