I seem to remember that bester69 has said that...
The MX Linux repositories: Backports galore! If we don't have something, just ask and we'll try--we like challenges. New packages: Flightgear 2018.2.2, 4.19.5 kernel, wine-staging 4.0~rc1, Pale Moon 28.2.2, Mesa 18.2.6, Midori 7.0

isn't that the closed source AND outdated audiocodec that no self-respecting linuxer can be without, for reasons?
i think bester dedicated a whole thread to it.

Hi,
I would recommend you to replace Acestram with
Kodi, plus plexus-Streams addon

but you can install acestream v3.0 by using snap.:
--------------------------------------
Acestream Player
http://www.acestream.org

Image

Available v3.0 in snap:
sudo apt install snapd
sudo snap install acestreamplayer

If get problems with permissions and snap, disable apparmor in grub to be able to run snap:
Code: Select all
#Edit /etc/default/grub with:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”apparmor=0 security=apparmor"
#then Update grub:
sudo update-grub

What's with this invasion of trolls?
I, for one, won't be replying to these kinds of questions anymore.
