Hotmail message rejection

#1 Post by Ramius »

Running Stretch 9.5 and up to date Evolution. All messages to hotmail are rejected.

I use telus.net ISP

Thanks, Bob

May have found solution - change outgoing to SMTP port 587.

Any other ideas ? Thanks, Bob
The manual said to install Windows Vista or better...
So I installed Debian.

Hi Bob,

There's a lot of security issues that webmail providers have introduced; these sometimes interfere with the email clients. I don't know if this is your situation, but it may be. Webmail companies are rejecting older email clients. It's good to see that Evolution has enjoyed a resurgence of development from redhat, since it's moved away from thunderbird. This can help Evolution who itself had fallen on hard times a few years back.

Here are some resources you'll find useful -I'd go with the manual and evolution-hackers:

Official Website:
https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Evolution

Evolution Manual
https://help.gnome.org/users/evolution/stable/

Evolution Mailing list (evolution-list)
https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

Evolution hackers (evolution-hackers)
https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo ... on-hackers

Gnome IRC
