Hi,
I've recently upgraded my system (I am running testing) and now I have a problem with hibernation.
I usually bring the system down with "systemctrl hibernate". When I then turn on the PC again it resumes. This has worked without problems in the past.
Now I have kernel 4.18.6-1 and systemd 239-10 and I am having problems.
Sometimes it does work, but most of the time my system fails to resume. I often simply get a flickering monitor where I should get the lock-screen.
Any ideas?
Many thanks!

Re: hibernation problem after upgrade
Does the systemd journal contain anything relevant when the problem occurs?
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=902416, perhaps?

Re: hibernation problem after upgrade
That bug looks different.
I have the same versions on my laptop where (so far) I have not seen any problems.
I've seen some bluetooth-related stuff in the log and have now unpluged my (extremly cheap) bluetooth usb-dongle, and the next hibernation/resume cycle worked.
Could a crappy usb-bluetooth device (that works - I use it to stream music to my headphones) cause hibernation-problems?

Posting the verbatim log (with code tags) is always better than a vague description, perhaps we will see something you have missed.morgon wrote:I've seen some bluetooth-related stuff in the log
EDIT: you put the errors in a search engine, right?
