Can't connect to any VPN using OpenVPN

Postby victorqueiroz » 2018-12-04 22:53

Very recently I've migrated to Debian since a long time without using it, and now I can't connect to a VPN using OpenVPN. Here's the errors I get:

Code: Select all
Tue Dec  4 15:10:08 2018 TLS Error: Unroutable control packet received from [AF_INET]XXXXXXX:1194 (si=3 op=P_CONTROL_V1)
Tue Dec  4 15:10:08 2018 TLS: Initial packet from [AF_INET]XXXXXXX:1194, sid=9d0ce9b2 44d40870
Tue Dec  4 15:10:08 2018 OpenSSL: error:1425F102:SSL routines:ssl_choose_client_version:unsupported protocol
Tue Dec  4 15:10:08 2018 TLS_ERROR: BIO read tls_read_plaintext error
Tue Dec  4 15:10:08 2018 TLS Error: TLS object -> incoming plaintext read error
Tue Dec  4 15:10:08 2018 TLS Error: TLS handshake failed
Tue Dec  4 15:10:08 2018 SIGUSR1[soft,tls-error] received, process restarting
Tue Dec  4 15:10:08 2018 Restart pause, 10 second(s)

I'm using Debian sid with the latest kernel version at the moment. I'm not sure it is related to me using unstable repository, is it? Anyway, please help me overcome this problem. This is very important for my work and I'd like to keep using Debian, ever since it is the only one that really works reliably!

Thank you in advance.

It could be nice to read server and client config files, I had a similar issue but I solved it just to fix my client config!

I'm using Buster on the client and on the server.
