Docker Install Issue

#1 Post by Spellinator »

I've searched and searched, but I haven't found an answer yet.

Debian installation on AWS.

I have one vendor package already installed and working.
Now I've added the repo info and key for Docker.
Can't get the apt-get update to work.

Any ideas on how to resolve this is much appreciated?

Sources....
root@mobis:/etc/apt# cat sources.list
deb http://cdn-aws.deb.debian.org/debian stretch main
deb http://cdn-aws.deb.debian.org/debian stretch-updates main
deb http://security.debian.org/ stretch/updates main contrib non-free

Here's how the vendor source list is setup...
root@mobis:/etc/apt/sources.list.d# cat docker.list
deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/debian stretch stable

Regarding the warning, that's not true.
There is a Release file.

Here's how the vendor source list is setup...
root@mobis:/etc/apt/sources.list.d# cat docker.list
deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/debian stretch stable

To prove that I can get the Packages file, I did a curl. Here are the results...

Docker is a product for you to build, ship and run any application as a
lightweight container
.
Docker containers are both hardware-agnostic and platform-agnostic. This means
they can run anywhere, from your laptop to the largest cloud compute instance and
everything in between - and they don't require you to use a particular
language, framework or packaging system. That makes them great building blocks
for deploying and scaling web apps, databases, and backend services without
depending on a particular stack or provider.

Description: Docker: the open-source application container engine
Docker is an open source project to build, ship and run any application as a
lightweight container
.
Docker containers are both hardware-agnostic and platform-agnostic. This means
they can run anywhere, from your laptop to the largest EC2 compute instance and
everything in between - and they don't require you to use a particular
language, framework or packaging system. That makes them great building blocks
for deploying and scaling web apps, databases, and backend services without
depending on a particular stack or provider.
