SDKs and stable releases

#1 Post by Chrisdb »

Hello,

With the stable releases of Debian I was wondering what the developers (c, python, java, go, ..) among you guys do
to keep your SDKs up-to-date?

Do you only use backports? Is it common in this case to use VMs or containers?
Do you compile the latest versions, or do you use executable binaries if provided?

Just looking for the best way to keep my developer tools up-to-date.
I'm not talking about an up-to-date system, just some specific tools.

Thx
