When it's ready.

You can install other kernels such as Liquorix.

This forum is for Debian users, and we don't decide or know when the developers will add the new kernels. You could ask on the kernel maintainers' mailing list, though.

Experimental has had a 5.0 kernel for months, though: https://packages.debian.org/search?suit ... source-5.0

Which means it's now vunerable to any exploits that have been discovered and patched by then...

In my opinion a kernel isn't something that I need or want to be the latest greatest flashy shiny thing.

I want the tested stable version that I know isn't going to fail me.

Hi, I have a thinkpad x1 extreme with 2 identical ssd, unfortunately the 4.x kernel only sees me 1.
