Disk icon with with explaination point in an orange circle

Postby jjthomas » 2019-12-01 15:41

This just showed up in my xfce4 panel, this morning. After seeing this, I upgraded to 10.2, the error remained. I have 4 drives with two RAID1 arrays, MD0 and MD1.

Google gives me multiple responses involving Windows. Searching the forums did not give an answer.

When I hover over the image it shows me:
Code: Select all
md1: OK (check) ; md0: OK (check)

Checking smart status shows all the drives are okay, no errors.

When I run mdadm --detail /dev/md1 and against /dev/md0 the only thing that pops out is a line that says: Check Status : 69% complete
Is that why I am getting the drive with the orange circle with the exclamation point?

Here is the whole output from mdadmin against md0 and md1
Code: Select all
root@tech2:/var/log# mdadm --detail /dev/md0
/dev/md0:

Orange circle with exclamation mark in xfce panel usually is caused by permission issues. or the target volume or dir is unacessible. Try right clicking, it might tell you the error.

Thank you. Clicking did not do anything. I tried right-clicking as well as left-clicking, nothing.

I just ran mdadm and the state for both drives just reads, "clean," and the drive icon has a green dot.

I going to propose that the orange circle with an exclamation point was a notification that the array was being checked.

Thank you, again.
