Missing libgcc-s1

Postby Bugs318 » 2020-09-11 18:48

So while attempting to get OneDrive client to work, I attempted to install libgcc-s1 from a .deb, but had to fix-broken install as it didn't work.

I gave up on trying, but then about an hour later, problems started arising as files weren't behaving normally. I rebooted and got stuck at a command prompt. I can login to terminal, but cannot run apt as I am told I am missing this shared library.

Is there a way I can get this installed or must I reinstall the entire system?

Thanks in advance for any prompt help.

It's in the Sid repository. Just install it from the rescue prompt. If you're not running Sid, then you may have a borked system.

Thanks folks. I was concerned dpkg wouldn't work either, but your link was the one I need (thanks!) and I had to wget a few dependencies back first, but I am salvaged!
