A Debian Jessie system is being run on a desktop.
Problems have suddenly ocurred with the two browsers being run on this system :-
Opera : Black rectangles have appeared on most webpages being accessed.
Iceweasel : Webpages hang.
Both browsers were closed and then reopened, but the above problems continued.
Any suggestions as to how to solve these problems, please ?

Stop using an unsupported EOL Debian version for browsing. Upgrade your system to at least stretch.

Re: browser problems
Yep gotta do it ...
Op what are you man, a troll out for lulz ? A gang of trolls, when you popped up, couldn't help noticing another 2-3 with very similar usernames also got real active on this forum all of a sudden. All your usernames share the same obvious format, sock puppets ? Separate trolls in a pack ? Here you are again, with some braindead oddball issue, asking people to waste their time, already received that same common sense advice(upgrade OS)in your other why aren't my usb's doing this or that thread(s.) Same deal ... ridiculous problem, you started 3-4 threads about the same stupe issue, then didn't bother following any of the things people suggested, nor provide any of the info people requested.
Now still using Jessie supposedly, for some strange, never explained reason, another very weird tech-problem on hands, use of Jessie wouldn't be the issue here. Whatever weirdness this OP represents is the problem. There's no solution to tarded trolls, they're weird creatures, who do weird and/or tarded things in the pursuit of entertainment and the almighty lulz ... END OF STORY.
