using a security auditing tool on a debian desktop

#1 Post by vryni »

Is Lynis security auditing tool recommended for
a Debian 10 home desktop ?

If so,
Which security auditing tool would you recommend
for an uninformed user like myself ?

Well the developers have packaged it up and added it to the repositories so it is probably reasonable to assume so.

Not sure about "recommend" (I'm also an uninformed user) but check the "Similar packages" section on the lynis package page.
