#1 Post by Atlantis »

Hi all,

i'm using debian woody as web dedicated server ...

Yesterday i've done an apt-get upgrade that upgraded a lot of packet

One of these upgrade done a security upgrade for users ...

Since that sendmail user (smmsp) is no more (i've fixed that by creating a new user for sendmail attached to floppy and mail groups) ...

But ftpd work no more also, apparently he can more start because he has no more user for it ...

Is every one gat this problems ??

And some solutions, advices ?

Thanks

Woody is history. Modify /etc/atp/sources.list so that you are pointing to the stable branch. Then apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade.
