I don't know where to post this question, so I will post it here
I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader 7. How can I set up LIN to use AAR7 as default PDF viewer?

Default PDF viewer
I think you have it installed allready, right?
If so, just browse to a pdf file in your file manager, click right on it and go to properties. Go to the tab called Open with and add(if not allready there) AAR, then make it your default by choosing it there.

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.

I'm using GNOME.
I know for the right click > Properties > Open With, but there is no option called make default or always open with, like in win XP.
I don't want to right click on file when I want to read it in AAR.
All I want is to make AAR default PDF viewer.
Can I change it in shell? I don't like fixing things in gui.

Hmmmz well there should be little 'balls' in front of the names of programs. When you change the little 'ball' you change the default opening program.
If you really wanne change it from the shell, someone else should help. There's a file that should say wich program to use for wich sort of files but I can't say where it is. Maybe I'll look in to it tomorrow if nobody gave a solution by then.
