Troubles installing Oracle 9i under Debian (testing)

#1 Post by alexey555 »

Hello.

Some problems had arisen when trying to install Oracle 9i on Debian, configuration is "testing" up to date.

Installer fails to start saying that libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 not found (JRE cannot start). Any attempt to symlink to existing libstdc++ (current version 2.10) causes another error message that some function is unresolved, typically is __xxx_wait version GLIBC_2. The same error comes when i install this library from rpm.

Also, all problem solves found on other sites dont work with the same error messages. It seems, that Oracle 10 will cause the same error.

Does someone have the same problems ?
