Need to somehow install the kernel source..?

Hey!

when I try to install NVidia drivers it says I need the kernel source installed.
How do I go about this ? I tried to search forum but missed, and cant find anything with apt-get

On Debian stable package is called kernel-source-(kernel.version.here). For example, to get get sources for Linux 2.6.8, do "apt-get install kernel-source-2.6.8". Your current kernel and sources version must match, or NVIDIA drivers won't work.

How do I find out the current kernel version ?
I just installed debian of the DvD I downloaded yesterday btw..

In a terminal window, run:
