Hi,
I just installed the latest Sarge (3.1 r0a). I do not have any GUI installed.
I am missing the _ in the console screen. By _ I mean the blinking _ that indicates where my keyboard cursor is.
I can see it in tty1, but I can't see it in any other tty. It is not there in bash or in programs (like vi). It also doesn't matter what user I log in as (root or regular user)
The only customizations I did were:
-change /root/.bashrc so root has a colored PS1.
-added: setterm -blength 0 in /etc/profile (to disable all beeps)
-changed /etc/skel/.bashrc so it uses the colored PS1 and not the black and white one
-a few aliases in /etc/profile
-changed the font to lat1u-08 in /etc/console-tools/config
-commented out the CtrlAltDel line in /etc/inittab
-disabled a few default services
And nothing else.
