Save gnome volume control settings

#1 Post by RWIndiana »

Hello everyone. I use KDE most, but the volume is always too quiet when I first boot up. I have to use the gnome volume control (because I am using GDM?), and it doesn't save the settings when I reboot, it always seems to default to a setting that I don't want (because it's too quiet). How do I save the volume control settings, or at least change the default settings? I can't find instructions via Google that both make sense AND apply to Debian. Arg.

Thanks for any tips!

Are you logging out properly? Choose logout from the menu.

Yup, doesn't matter what I try, it loses my settings. :( I even tried logging in and out of gnome with no luck.
