I like konqueror--you can open a split window and transfer your local files to a remote web site, and vice versa.
Grieve not for happy Claudius, he is dead;
And empty is his skull.
Pity no longer, arm-in-arm with Dread,
Walks that polished hall.

Joy, too, is fled.
But no man can have all.

gFTP is what you want. apt-get install gftp

There are others though. Search around and find which you like best.

If you are using Firefox within Debian, then I can recommand the Firefox extension FireFTP. If you are using KDE, you can give KBear a try.

If you use KDE, Konqueror is indeed a fine way to go, simply for the integration factor. Makes it nice and easy as you can just drag and drop things pretty seamlessly.
