I am trying to use an apt.conf file. I basically want to put the --allow-unauthenticated option for apt-get in this apt.conf file, but I got a little confused.
It says the name of the apt.conf file has to be specified in the APT_CONFIG environment variable. So does this mean that just making a file /etc/apt/apt.conf is not enough and I have to create some sort of init script that will export the path into APT_CONFIG?
And then how is the apt.conf file supposed to look I tried something like
APT {
Get {
Allow-Unauthenticated "true";
};
};
but I don't think this was any good, I still got my warnings that packages can't be checked and do I want to continue, and that's what I wanted to get rid of on the first place.
Thank you for your help
