apt-get offline?

If none of the more specific forums is the right place to ask

apt-get offline?

Postby jago25_98 » 2006-01-16 16:57

How can I get apt-get to tell me what it would download and from where in a format that wget likes.

My WIFI card isn't working so I need to download packages in Windows for the moment.

you could use -s with apt-get to simulate
#apt-get -s install packagename
But the output is not formatted...
It looks like a job for a bash script.

If you know the package names, you can just get the packages from the package pool: http://ftp.debian.org/pool/
