deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free

Since you're mentioning this again, let me ask you if you added this entry in your source list:I get everything in the world but what I am looking for...
deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free
One of the above, non-free, if I am correct, should provide the macromedia flash.
And, again, I tell you that from the list that you displayed, yes, you have got something. Just take a look in the list you displayed again and you will see this:
libflash-mozplugin - GPL Flash (SWF) Library - Mozilla-compatible plugin.
Unless you prefer the plugin from Macromedia, then you have to download it from the above mentioned entry
UPDATE: alternatively, you can add Marillat's repository for Debian in your list. That guy really did a good work by packaging some extra stuff for Debian (and Ubuntu too), among them, flash plugin. You can check his page at: http://hpisi.nerim.net/ and find the list at the bottom. Take a time to read his comments before, they might be helpful in case you come accross a problem
Cheers,
domecq

How to install the Macromedia Flash Player plugin
This is how I installed the Macromedia Flash Player plugin for Mozilla (1.7. on Debian (3.1) Sarge (using GNOME) . Installing for Firefox should be the same. Correct me if I am wrong!
I used the http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/ URL as the main source of information about mozilla plugins
The MIME type of Macromedia Flash Player content is "application/x-shockwave-flash".
---Installation (as described in http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/ and NOT in the macromedia website)
1-Download the Macromedia Flash Player (download URL is found in http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux.html#Flash)
2-Decompress it using tar (example:tar -xz -f install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz)
3-Copy libflashplayer.so to your Mozilla plugins directory and flashplayer.xpt to your Mozilla components directory
4-Close and reopen Mozilla. Flash content should be nicely rendered.
---The plugins directory
The directory that plugin files should be copied for SYSTEM WIDE use is /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
Initially, it contained (on my system) the following:
myUserName@theHostName:/usr/bin$ ls -l /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
total 32
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8816 2005-04-05 21:19 libmozsvgdec.so
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 20016 2005-09-27 17:25 libnullplugin.so
For plugins to work only for A SINGLE USER, the corresponding plugins directory is :
~/.mozilla/plugins/
(i.e. in the user's home directory)
---The components directory
The directory that mozilla components live is /usr/lib/mozilla/components/
Do not forget to close mozilla and reopen it.
Tip: The installed plugins for your mozilla can be checked by typing 'about:plugins' in the address bar of your browser.
Note:I am new to Linux and Debian. I realise that the above installation guidelines work outside the context of the apt/aptitude package manager. As far as I can see this can be a problem if you want to uninstall the plugin and you don't remember the steps you took to install it. Dependencies are also an issue.
I hope this post helps.
