boot loader

#1 Post by jafunk04 »

I have my debian box dual booted with Windows XP, when I am in Debain I know how to switch my default boot OS but is there a similar way I can do the same thing in windows. I work remotly on my machine some and sometimes I want to switch to linux or back to windows. I can restart my machine easily, but I have the boot loader to deafult load to windows, how can I change it - in windows- to automatically boot to debian on restart?

maybe an easier question, what is the name of the program (and where is it located in debian) that edits the grub boot loader?

You can change it "by hand"(with your preffered text editor) /boot/grub/menu.lst.
