My SO has suddenly decided that she wants to make herself a homepage but she hasn't the faintest clue about HTML (or anything else that goes into it for that matter). She is quite adept on 'ordinary' desktop computer use and her machine is running Sarge by the way. So I wonder if any of you know a good WYSIWYG editor that would minimize her need for support, and henche minimize the time I spend teaching her
Personally I prefer using rather plain editors so I really don't know what's out there...
Thanks
Tina

WYSIWYG HTML editor?
I use SeaMonkey -- http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/ -- which has a WYSIWYG editor, Composer. There's also NVU, which is somewhat like a stand-alone Composer (haven't used NVU in a year or so, myself).
Debian GNU/Linux 3.1

Bluesfish is indeed very nice, but not really for a beginner who's main motivation is to put up a home page with a minimal effort and learn as she goes.domecq wrote:I like Bluefish a lot and heard that many webdesigners who work in Linux-related companies use it.
It's available from Debian repositories.

Re: wysiwyg HTML editors
Yes, nvu is what I ended up installing for her. It's pretty good actually and very easy to get started with...prplxd wrote:Have you tried this one?
