Sys Admin Programs

I recently set up my first server and being fairly new to this environment have done alot of searching for typical sys admin tools. I was wondering what everybodys 'cant do without' admin utilities are for debian? Right now I am just running an ssh server for my personal use but am interested in learning more about system administration. Thanks in advance for all opinions.

My 'can't do without' list is pretty short:
apt-get/ aptitude/ synaptic depending on the task at hand
rcconf for configuring services that are to start at boot
htop (a refined top) for checking what's running and how...
wget for downloading big files in the background
nano for text editing at the commandline
kate for text editing in KDE
mc (Midnight Commander) for file management at the commandline

For the rest kcontrol pretty much does it all.
