#1 Post by Guest »

My source list is currupted and I cannot seem to rebuild it. Anything I put in gives the same error (could not stat source.list)

does anybody know what that eror means. Or will someone give me the correct url for apt so I can update my comp with the latest stable version.

Not sure what your problem is, but here is a simple sources.list for stable:

Code: Select all

# Stable
deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free

# Security
deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main
Try to replace your current /etc/apt/sources.list with this one and see what happends (just rename your current one to something else like sources.original)

Tina :)
