Recommended FTP server

Hi All,

I am sure this question has been asked before. What FTP server is the best and the most recommended for DEBIAN? I was using VSFTPD on SUSE....did not have problems with it....but just wondering if we have better ones...I see a whole bunch of them....thats why....

IMHO, proftpd is quite good.

Hi Buddy,

Thanks for the reply, I somehow guessed this would be the most recommended. Anyway, I am readingthe documentation for this, to find more about its security. Thanks once again, please let me know if you know any other server that is good in terms of "secured access" . I see proftpd supports LDAP, but how about SECUREID, does any other server in your opinion support SECUREID authentication?

proftod is great, althought i would consider not to use ftp protocol anyway. but that depends what you are going to do with it.
