European Debian Dedicated Server

Postby vmwarerulz » 2006-05-18 21:41

Hi, I am looking for a backup to my north american Debian dedicated server which is currently housed at http://www.esecuredata.com. I want a service that offers Debian, has 24/7 support, p4 3.0 or better, 2gb ram, 200gb or better, and at least 1000gb transfer. I am willing to pay up to $79/mo. I am particularly interested in your actual experiences with any European companies, and not just guesses about whether they are good or not. I would like to hear from any of you who have rented from easyspeedy or nethat especially. Thanks.

i dont know if prices for servers are generally higher in europe, but i doubt you will find any server of that specification for that price.

as comparions: one of the cheaper quality hosters, 1und1 in germany, offers
(AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 1.024 MB DDR-RAM, 2 x 80 GB Festplatte (RAID1)) without any free support at all for about 80 $. thats probably the cheapest offer i ever came across.
debian squeeze for everyday life, many other versions for the rest
