Using gnome

Postby Frank Brown » 2006-06-03 21:51

Just a beginner, but stumped. I have installed Debian, to use as a file server. I have loaded gnome and it starts ok on startup. But, where is information about getting back to the bash shell from gnome? I have all the documentation, including 'Debian GNU/Linus3.1 Bible'. Nowhere can I find an answer. I must shutdown and wait for help.

Thank you

You can open a terminal using Ctrl-Alt-Fn where n=1 to 6. To get back to Gnome you just hit Ctrl-Alt-F7
