Libreoffice from backports - No spell check

#1 Post by Zaraphrax »

Hi all,

I'm running Squeeze and have installed Libreoffice from backports. For some reason the spell checker doesn't work, despite the fact I seem to have all the necessary dictionaries installed. I've searched around and nobody on this forum has reported this problem before as far as I can tell - is there something that I've missed here?

These are the libreoffice packages I have installed:

Code: Select all

ii libreoffice 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite
ii libreoffice-base 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- database
ii libreoffice-base-core 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- shared library
ii libreoffice-calc 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- spreadsheet
ii libreoffice-common 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- arch-independent files
ii libreoffice-core 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- arch-dependent files
ii libreoffice-draw 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- drawing
ii libreoffice-emailmerge 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- email mail merge
ii libreoffice-filter-binfilter 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- legacy filters (e.g. StarOffice 5.2)
ii libreoffice-filter-mobiledev 1:3.3.3-4~bpo60+1 office productivity suite -- mobile devices filters

Have you tried installing a dictionary as an extension from http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... ctionaries? Under Tools > Options > Language Settings > Languages does your default document language have a tick next to it?
